Uncountable users in workspaces with a configured Gen AI connector can use the in‑platform Bodie AI assistant to get in-context answers and complete common tasks directly from where they’re working. On supported pages, Bodie can use the context of the page you are viewing, including rows selected on the Measurements page, to help answer questions or make changes.
Accessing Bodie AI
You can open Bodie AI from anywhere within the platform by clicking Bodie AI or the dog icon in the Uncountable navigation bar.
You can also access Bodie AI directly from Quick Actions. Open Quick Actions (or press Command + K), type your question, and select Bodie AI. This opens a new chat thread where Bodie AI answers your question and you can continue with follow-up questions.
What Bodie AI can do
Bodie AI is continuously evolving. Below are the most recent capabilities.
Ask platform questions
You can ask Bodie AI general questions about how perform actions in Uncountable. It answers in the chat interface with support for follow-up questions.
Example prompts:
- “How do I create a new project?”
- “How do I import formulations?”
- “How do I share a notebook?”
- “How do I add a Mass and Volume column on the Recipe page?”
Perform experiment entry page actions
On Recipe and Measurement view of experiments, you can also ask Bodie AI how to perform page actions and it will surface a clickable button for the relevant feature.
Example prompts:
- “I want to add a Mass and a Volume column”
- “How can I see a record of who has changed this recipe?”
- “Is there a way to see which outputs I recently changed?”
This is useful for accessing platform actions that are otherwise buried in menus. Note that this currently works for one-click actions only. Actions that require additional input (such as Add Ingredient) are not yet surfaced this way.
Use notebooks with Bodie AI
You can ask Bodie AI to search, summarize, and draft content in existing notebooks.
Example prompts:
- “Summarize the key conclusions from this notebook.”
- “Draft a Results paragraph for this section based on the content below.”
- “Find our latest notes on Carbon Black.”
Create analysis artifacts (sampling, notebooks, and graphs)
Bodie AI can support analysis, QC, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) workflows by:
- Pulling a specific set of experiments from a project
- Inspecting experiments and helping explain patterns and outliers
- Creating a notebook report and generating graphs to illustrate relationships
Example prompts:
- “Analyze experiments in this project and explain why entrained air is higher in some of them.”
- “Create a report with graphs highlighting __ trend.”
- “Create a visualization in Explore Data highlighting __ trend.”
Run Suggest and Analyze jobs
Bodie AI can run Suggest and Analyze jobs directly from chat. Describe your target outputs and any ingredient constraints, and Bodie returns a suggested formulation with predicted performance results.
Example prompts:
- “Suggest the next coating to run that matches SJ-08, Adhesion ≥ 130 and Cobb ≤ 16, without using Wax 3.”
- “Build a model to help me understand the effect of carbon black on tensile strength.”

Access and update the Measurements page
Bodie AI can help modify the Measurements view of experiments directly from chat. Use Bodie to add outputs and change output sorting and organization settings without manually configuring each output one at a time.
Example prompts:
- “Add outputs at 1 hour, 4 hours, and 24 hours.”
- “Organize the measurements page by category, then column the outputs by cure time.”
- “Add the standard tensile outputs and sort them by test condition.”
This is especially useful for repetitive measurement setups where the same outputs need to be added across several time points, conditions, or categories.
Run triggers
Bodie AI can run entity actions directly from chat when the trigger has been configured for Bodie access. This is useful for complex experiment workflows where a trigger performs several actions at once, such as updating phases, creating related entities, or applying a standard workflow step.
Example prompts:
- “Run the Finish Experiment trigger.”
- “Complete this experiment using the standard trigger.”
- “Run the trigger that creates the lab request.”
Index files and images
Bodie can read and index files and images stored in the Files directory, making their contents searchable alongside other platform data.
Text-based files (including PDFs with selectable text and Word documents) are indexed automatically on upload. Files that require OCR to extract content, such as scanned PDFs, standalone images, and handwritten documents, must be indexed manually.
To manually index a file:
- Navigate to the Files directory.
- Select the file or image you want to make searchable.
- Click … > LLM Index File.
Once indexed, Bodie can surface information from the file when you search or ask questions.
Edit custom entities via chat
Bodie AI can help edit custom entities (e.g. Quality Incidents, Support Tickets, Shipping Requests) via natural-language requests. If the request is ambiguous, it will ask clarifying questions, then present a proposed change summary before applying changes.

- “Set the workflow phase for all Quality Incidents reported in October 2024 to ‘Resolution in Progress’.”
- “Append ‘(Legacy)’ to all entities created before 2024.”
Generate training modules
Bodie AI can generate training modules from source content such as a document, notebook, file, or platform entity. It can create training pages and quiz-style questions as a first draft, giving admins a faster starting point for onboarding, compliance training, and feature rollout materials.
The generation flow is iterative. Bodie may ask clarifying questions up front, such as whether the module should be a lesson or exam, how long it should be, and how dense the content should be. Admins can then review, edit, and refine the generated draft before publishing it.

- “Create a training module from this notebook.”
- “Turn this document into an onboarding lesson with quiz questions.”
- “Generate an exam based on this SOP.”
Draft config changes
Bodie AI can help admins set up configuration by drafting new definitions from a file or natural-language description. Instead of manually creating every definition, field group, field, and option set, you can ask Bodie to generate a draft that you review before committing.
Drafts open in an import draft view with a preview mode and structure editor. New inserts are flagged with a “new” badge, so you can inspect each proposed definition, field group, field, and option set before applying changes. You can also make manual edits directly in the draft or prompt Bodie for additional changes.
This is especially useful for large configuration imports, including accounts that require hundreds of entity definitions or fields, because admins can review, edit, and reject individual inserts before committing.

- “Set up a new quality incident definition with fields for severity, owner, and corrective actions.”
- “Update this import draft to split these fields into separate groups.”
Use Bodie AI directly from reaction table cells
When a notebook containing reaction cells is open, Bodie AI has full context on the reaction table — and you can ask it to directly edit a reaction and save the change, without leaving the page.

- “Add a methyl esterification reaction to this table.”
- “Give me a more complicated metal reaction using platinum.”

Edit Value Specs via chat (admin)
Uncountable admins can use Bodie AI to read value-spec documentation, run and evaluate value specs internally against an evaluation context, and directly edit the Value Spec editor in view.
The primary entry point for this capability is Form Admin > Value Spec. From there you can describe the value spec behavior you want and Bodie AI will draft, refine, and apply changes without you needing to manually edit the JSON.
Example prompts:
- “Set the base entity type to the Cell Demo 3 experiment.”
- “Write a value spec that combines the entity name and creation date.”
- “Add a rule that hides this field when the batch size is below 10.”
- “Evaluate this value spec with a batch size of 5 and tell me what fields would be hidden.”
Bodie AI Interface
Bodie AI opens in a left-side panel and automatically returns to your active thread when you reopen it.
Within the chat interface, you can:
- Ask questions to receive context-aware responses
- Access the Bodie AI menu to view a listing of all chats (A)
- Open the chat in a full page, share a chat thread, and view or create new skills (B). When you share a chat with a colleague, that colleague can view the underlying AI session for the shared conversation.

Skills
Skills let you save repeatable guidance for Bodie AI so that it can follow your team’s preferred process and keep responses consistent.
Use skills when:
- You want Bodie AI to follow a specific workflow (for example, “how we write value specs”).
- You want consistent, customer-ready language across the team.
Access the Skills listing (where you can view and edit skills available in your workspace) by selecting … > Skills from within the Bodie chat interface.

Bodie Feedback
After Bodie AI returns a response, you can hover over the message to reveal thumbs up and thumbs down buttons. Clicking either button submits feedback on that response.
- 👍 Thumbs up — indicates the response was helpful
- 👎 Thumbs down — opens a form where you can submit a support ticket
Your feedback helps the Uncountable team identify and improve responses that aren’t working well.
Tips for getting better answers
- Provide the goal and any constraints (e.g., “validated environment”, “must be audit-friendly”).
- If you’re on a relevant page, ask from that page so the Uncountable Assistant can use context.
- Ask follow-ups (“show me examples”, “what’s the safest default?”, “what are common mistakes?”).
- If a response isn’t what you expected, use the thumbs down button to flag it. This helps the Uncountable team identify and improve prompts that aren’t working well.
Availability
This feature is available only for workspaces with Gen AI configured. Admins can manage setup from Company-Wide Settings > Global Permissions > Modules > Configure Generative AI Module, where they can add, reorder, and test AI connectors and review Usage & Analytics. If you do not see Bodie AI, speak to your Uncountable representative or workspace admin to confirm that at least one Gen AI connector is active.
