Update to the Compare Page Design

Uncountable has refreshed the design of the Compare page. The page controls now sit in a single action bar above the grid, and the grid has a cleaner, more consistent layout that matches the Recipes and Measurements tabs. This is a visual update only: every Compare feature works the same as before.

What’s changing

Controls in one action bar

Before: The Recipes, Measurements, and Compare buttons were stacked in the top-left corner of the grid. Display Settings sat on its own row, with Export, Options, Save, and Adjust Rows grouped below it, and the number of experiments shown appeared behind an info icon.

Now: Recipes, Measurements, Compare, Display Settings, Export, Options, Save, and Adjust Rows appear in one action bar above the grid, the same layout used on the Recipes and Measurements tabs. The number of experiments shown appears as text below the action bar.

A cleaner grid

Now: The grid has been tidied up so it is easier to scan:

  • Experiment column headers are flat instead of boxed, and the header row adjusts its height to fit the experiment names.
  • Section headers, such as workflow steps and Measurements, keep their blue fill so each section stands out.
  • Category labels, such as Uncategorized and Totals, appear in lighter gray text, and the category column is narrower.
  • Rows have a consistent height and only grow when a name wraps. Values have the same spacing in every cell and are centered vertically in their rows.
  • The Assigned Spec row fits on one line.
  • View Curve and Download buttons in measurement cells fit within their columns.

Rollout

This update is now live. All Compare features, including sorting, display settings, export, saving, adjusting rows, collapsing sections, hiding columns, and color scales, work the same as before, and no action is required. For more on using the Compare page, see Compare.
