Next week we will be updating the styling of several pages across the platform to improve consistency and create a cleaner, easier-to-read layout.
What’s changing
Experiments (Recipe & Measurements views):
- The experiment header, which previously used a background color matching the navigation bar, will be updated to white.
- The File menu, previously grey, will be updated to white.
- The action toolbar, previously grey, will be updated to white with a drop shadow added to provide clearer separation and contrast.
Lab Requests and Approvals:
- The header, which previously matched the navigation bar color, will be updated to white.
- The action bar will adopt the new white style with a drop shadow, ensuring better contrast and alignment with other pages.
These updates are part of our broader effort to simplify styling, increase whitespace, and align all major workflows with the look and feel of the rest of the platform.
Rollout
These updates will be deployed on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This will be a schema-wide visual improvement, no opt-out is available.
