The recipe card on the project dashboard page was recently redesigned to make it easier to review multiple recipes, reduce visual clutter, and create a more predictable experience. These changes have fully rolled out and are now available.
What’s changed
A consistent, resizable preview
The recipe card includes an expand/collapse control that is sticky for each user. Once you expand or collapse the preview, it remembers that state for you until you change it. When no recipes are selected, it displays an empty state.

Cycle through selected recipes within the card
On a project dashboard, you can cycle through selected recipes directly from within the open recipe card.

Test samples stand out
Test samples now have a color highlight on the left side of the card, making them easier to distinguish from the parent recipe at a glance.

Quick links, trimmed down
Quick links have been reduced to only Barcode and Related Recipes. Notebooks, Last Modified, Projects, and the assigned spec row have been removed to reduce clutter.

Why we made this change
- Faster review: cycling through selected recipes without closing the card, plus color-coded test samples, makes it quicker to compare recipes back to back.
- Less clutter: removing rarely used icon buttons and unnecessary header rows frees up vertical space in the card.
